It’s our great pleasure to welcome you to Imaging Australis 2016!
The Echo Australis program was first delivered in 2013 with the aim of providing a unique educational opportunity for advanced cardiology trainees to practice and improve their image interpretation skills. Our initial focus has been on demonstrating the use of multiparametric quantification together with novel techniques to improve standardisation in the interpretation of echo.
We are aware that many trainees lack exposure to imaging modalities (MR, CT). While echocardiography will remain the mainstay of cardiovascular imaging in many cardiac diseases, it’s clear that understanding how to approach these other modalities is important. For this reason, this year we have added a CMR and CT session focusing on how these modalities complement echocardiography in cardiovascular imaging.
We very much appreciate the provision of an unrestricted educational grant from our sponsors, the assistance of our sonographer colleagues, and of course, your interest.
