Dear Colleagues
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to Hobart for the 3rd Echo Australis, 21-22 November 2015.
Much of everyday echocardiography requires integrative skills that need to be based on a solid understanding of physiology. The interpretation of studies can be particularly challenging when multiple (often discordant) parameters are required for assessment. However, the tools of echocardiography are sharper than they have ever been, and quantitation is a means of reducing variation that remains under-utilized.
In this course, our experienced faculty will mentor trainees in small groups of 12-15 in a unique educational opportunity directed towards improving the process of echo reading. A particular focus is on minimising discordance and increasing the use of quantitation in assessment of some of the commonly faced problems in clinical echocardiography. We are all here to learn and attendees should expect to participate.
We hope that you share our enthusiasm and looking forward to seeing you in Hobart. Our sincere gratitude is extended to our local and interstate presenters for their contribution, and to our sponsors for their unrestricted educational grant.
